QC Analyst / Lab Technician (Entry Level)

Job Description:

This hands-on role in the analytical lab involves performing critical quality testing for raw materials, in-process samples, finished goods, stability, and cleaning validation analysis. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of science, strong analytical testing skills, and a detail-oriented approach to record-keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct analytical testing using methods such as Dissolution, Titration, Polarimetry, Loss on Drying, Viscosity, FTIR, HPLC, GC, and more.
• Adhere to USP/NF/EP/JP/FCC or customer guidelines for testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all analytical processes and results.
• Interpret and communicate results effectively.
• Organize daily tasks for optimal efficiency.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment and instrumentation.
• Follow basic laboratory and chemical hygiene practices to ensure a safe work environment.
• Learn and follow SOPs and test methods.
• Collaborate in a "flow to work" team environment.
• Assist with peer review of analytical testing and write-ups.
• Draft SOPs as required.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences (preferred in Chemistry or Biology).
• Experience: 0-5 years in a Quality, Laboratory, Clinical, or Chemical manufacturing role (including internships or co-op experience).
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety and handling chemicals of varying potency.
• Strong multi-tasking abilities and efficiency under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to perform testing accurately under time constraints and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Pay: $29.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
