Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Pallet Jack Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently moving products throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks and ensuring that all operations comply with OSHA regulations. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate pallet jacks to transport materials and products within the warehouse efficiently.
- Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in selecting items for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Assist in building pallets for shipment, ensuring proper stacking and securing of products.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage orders effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines as established by OSHA.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating pallet jacks or similar equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking processes in a distribution center setting is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment as they arise.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
