Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using schematics and blueprints.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine work, transmission services, and brake systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble and disassemble vehicle components.
- Operate forklifts safely to move parts and equipment as needed.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure proper vehicle functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery relevant to vehicle repair.
- Experience with machining processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
