Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and cherry pickers to move materials within the yard and warehouse.
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organization in compliance with warehouse management systems.
- Assist in order picking and preparing items for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area to promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any issues promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in materials handling or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in operating pallet jacks, forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment.
- Experience working in a distribution center or similar warehouse environment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
