Job Summary :
We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our emergency communications team as Entry-Level 911 Dispatchers. In this critical role, you will be responsible for receiving emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching appropriate emergency personnel, and providing lifesaving instructions when necessary. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong sense of public service.
Key Responsibilities :
- Answer emergency 911 and non-emergency calls promptly and professionally.
- Obtain essential information from callers to assess the nature and urgency of the situation.
- Dispatch police, fire, and emergency medical personnel as needed.
- Provide pre-arrival instructions, including CPR and other emergency procedures, following established protocols.
- Monitor radio communications and maintain contact with field units.
- Accurately document call details and updates in the computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system.
- Maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.
- Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
