Position Title : Accountant Technician

Reports To : Director of Finance and Operations
Date : ASAP
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
Minimum three years accounting experience, fund accounting preferred.
ccounts payable and payroll experience is a plus.
Experience with integrated computerized accounting systems required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Experience with WCRESA SMART software preferred.
bility to work independently and make good decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Process financial transactions and post to general ledger.
Perform month end closing activities and prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
ssist in preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
Prepare and submit quarterly E-time invoices to Wayne RESA.
Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis.
Record and reconcile cash transactions related to student activity accounts.
ssist in developing, implementing and monitoring internal controls.
ssist and / or serve as backup for accounts payable function.
Prepare and submit financial reports as required by the State of Michigan.
Manage Federal and State Grant accounting and reporting.
Prepare and manage monthly cash flow report.
Prepare and submit quarterly Medicaid cost reports.
Prepare various financial reports and analysis as needed.
Prepare schedules, gather information and assist auditors as needed.
Prepare annual State of Michigan financial reports - FID, SE-4094 and SE4096.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and Operations.
