The Department of Revenue's Motor Vehicle Division is seeking an Accounting Clerk to perform fiscal control functions in the Motor Vehicle Division.
Reporting to the Accounting Technician Supervisor, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate execution of fiscal control functions, such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll preparation, or related general accounting processes.
Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
Pay is $16.00 an hour.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Balance and reconciles accounting records, statements, or reports
- Collects fees or revenues, disburses payments and posts to appropriate accounts
- Compiles, prepares and maintains standard accounting records and reports
- Provides information or interpretation to third parties such as banks, auditors, vendors and governmental entities.
- Processes or records financial transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, invoices, or requisition in a ledger or computer system.
- Serving as liaison to County Financial Officers
Entry Qualifications
High school diploma / GED and three (3) years of job-related accounting or fiscal experience; or one (1) year of experience at the lower-level Accounting Clerk (FIT020) or equivalent position.
