candidates whose academic and professional experiences, skills, competencies, and overall body of
work align with and promote the NPS' strategic vision and goals.
3.1.1 Contractor shall employ a multi-faceted academic search and recruitment campaign that
incorporates industry best practices, to include but not limited to, posting advertisements
in academic or professional journals and other literature, posting on internet job boards,
direct contact with potential candidates, targeted recruitment, or any other method that
maximizes public awareness.
3.1.2 Contractor shall post job announcements utilizing recruitment sources to attract diversity,
not only in terms of the resultant pool of candidates, but also in the breadth of fields such
s academia (public, private, Historically Black and Hispanic Colleges and Universities,
military academies, etc.), private industry, public service, philanthropy or any other
ppropriate area of concentration.
3.2 Contractor shall provide advice on hiring considerations and conduct candidate background
validation / search of pool of approximately 20 candidates identified by the PSC.
3.2.1 Brief PSC on considerations for academic executive hiring.
3.2.2 Provide background validation / search of candidates based upon publicly available
information to include internet postings, social media, published writings.
3.2.3 Coordinate between PSC and top 20 candidates to schedule virtual interviews.
3.3 Coordinate interviews of top 5 candidates (short list) :
3.3.1 Verify interview candidate qualifications.
3.3.2 Prepare a list of proposed interview questions for PSC consideration.
3.3.3 Coordinate between PSC and top 5 candidates to schedule virtual interviews.
3.4 Coordinate interviews of top two candidates :
3.4.1 Prepare a list of proposed in person interview questions for PSC and NPS Senior
dministration consideration.
3.4.2 Coordinate travel for top two candidates for in person interviews.
3.4.3 Coordinate between PSC and top two candidates to schedule in person interviews.Coordinate between NPS Senior Administration and Faculty Committees to schedule in

leadership searches for academic positions at the senior administrator level (President, Provost, Chief
cademic Officer, Vice Provost, Vice President for Finance and Administration, Vice President for Research,
