POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Project Technician works as an integral part of the Managed Services Team supporting customers with technical support and assistance. In this role, you will interface with technical services, contracts, sales, accounting, service technicians and customers. As the IT Project Technician, your role is crucial in maintaining stewardship and integrity by promoting collaboration with other members of the managed services department to deliver outstanding technical support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Serve as the first point of contact with customers who need technical assistance
· Perform troubleshooting using different diagnostic techniques
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues
· Provide quick resolution and excellent customer service
· Redirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
· Provide needed information on IT products and services
· Keep record of problems and their resolution
· Follow up with customers in a timely manner
· Provide feedback on processes and make recommendations on areas to improve
· Maintain technical documentation and service catalog on installation of software, configuration of hardware and problem troubleshooting
· Suggest improvements on procedures on service offerings
· Support other departments as needed with overflow and office coverage
NON- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Non-essential functions of the IT Project Technician role include tasks that support the primary responsibilities but are not critical to the core duties. These might involve:
· Previous working experience as an IT Help Desk Technician for 5 years
· In-depth knowledge of computer systems and devices
· Hands on experience with diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Customer-oriented approach and patience
SKILLS:
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in Information Technology or Information Systems
· Strong Communication Skills
· Ability to Multi-Task
· Strong Problem-Solving Ability
· High Attention to Detail
· Must remain calm, clear and in control in stressful situations
· Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
· Fluent in English (oral and written), other languages a plus
· Strong character, sound judgement, a level head, and critical thinking
· Ability to adapt when unexpected situations arise
· Maintain a respectful workplace attitude and environment
