Internal Control Manager

We are looking for an Internal Control Manager to join our Finance and Internal Control Team. In this role you will help the organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensuring a coordinated and consistent approach to design, implement, maintain, assess and transform the internal control system and the overall ABB E-mobility’s Finance governance
• Overseeing the Group’s assessment of the internal control system by developing and implementing processes for measuring and verifying the quality of internal controls
• Acting as a business partner, providing consultancy to operational managers to duly manage risks, maintain a robust internal control environment and while driving simplification and rationalization
• Supporting and overseeing the remediation and deficiency assessment process, by monitoring and guiding management in the timely and sustainable remediation of deficiencies
• Supporting and educating all levels of the organization over the importance of risks and controls
• Coordinating with internal and external audit teams to facilitate their engagement completion, as well as issues resolution
• Periodic communication with Group Management
• Supporting on a variety of ad hoc projects as required
  
  

Your background

• You have at least 8 - 10 years of work experience in finance, audit or internal control related areas. Big4 background would be an asset
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of implementing risk management, controls over financial reporting, and finance governance processes in a complex business environment
• University degree in accounting/finance or business, or relevant professional experience
• Problem solver with strong management, communication and presentation skills
• Solid understanding of internal controls methodology, practices ideally in a US and Swiss environment, with an excellent knowledge of business processes
• Absolute integrity and trustworthiness to manage highly sensitive information.
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
