This position reports to
Continuous Improvement Manager
Your role and responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education / employment opportunities. The work model for the role is onsite in Hickory, North Carolina. You will be mainly accountable for :
- Supporting manufacturing transformation activities including layout improvements, tool organization, and visual management
- Collaborating with the operations team to strategically solve problems and support on-time delivery of ABB products manufactured to the highest quality
- Working with the team to drive a safety culture by identifying improvements to work areas and processes
