FT Production Operator 2nd Shift

This position reports to the Production Supervisor and plays a key role in assembling machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble machinery and other products according to blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation.
- Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
- Perform basic repairs on equipment and conveyors as needed.
- Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
- Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, screwdriver, battery operated tools, etc.
- Knowledge of hardware arrangements - nuts, bolts, screws, etc.
- Knowledge of 5S - sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain.
- Knowledge and use of necessary PPE.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering job spec sheet, connection diagrams, bill of materials, and standard assembly drawings.
- BASIC computer skills to be able to look up parts based on bill of materials.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
