This position reports to

Product Line Manager, Medium Voltage ANSI Switchgear

Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will be oversee the ANSI Gas Insulated switchgear (GIS) product line. You will manage the product offering throughout its lifecycle, in line with market needs and business line strategy and targets. You will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth of the offering. You will support the business results by overseeing each step involved in the offering lifecycle including development, launch, go-to-market, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. This is a hybrid position, however successful candidates should be located in either Cary, NC or Mebane, NC. Relocation assistance will be provided. This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in The United States. You will be mainly accountable for :

  • Leading the market intelligence analysis and identifying potential gaps in the portfolio, with respect to the competition and new market opportunities for Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS). Understand and define current market segmentation and related offering positioning including relevant regulations and standards, especially related to sustainability.
  • Owning technical and market specification for the offer and determining an offering business plan that supports sustainable growth while leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, and following-up on portfolio performance.
  • Leading the offer lifecycle management process, analyzing current offers, defining, and tracking performance metrics, and making decisions on offer obsolescence and end-of life to ensure that current and future market requirements are met to maximize their profitability.
  • Setting targets, monitoring offering costs and giving inputs to operations functions (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Production) to maximize competitiveness and profitability.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent area of studies.
  • 5 years of experience in an industrial environment in an engineering, product marketing, sales, or product management role.
  • Basic knowledge of power distribution products, in particular, medium voltage switchgear.
  • Knowledge of gas insulated switchgear construction and applications and differentiation with air insulated switchgear.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% including internationally.
