This position reports to
IS Application Development Manager
Your role and responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is onsite in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements. This role is contributing to the Motion Business. You will be mainly accountable for: Assist in implementing technical solutions by contributing coding and design principles Collaborate with team members to understand functional and technical requirements Participate in task prioritization and incoming development needs Engage in debugging, troubleshooting, development, and unit testing of solutions Assist in deployment, optimization, and maintenance of existing applications Participate in code reviews and team meetings to enhance skills and ensure best practices Development responsibilities within ERP and non-ERP domains, including SAP, .Net, and database environments

Qualifications for the role
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related major in the United States.
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
- Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
