Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to set up and execute routine tests for different products in accordance with standard testing methodologies and requirements.
Each day, you will perform your tasks or activities using skills and techniques as well as a practical understanding of concepts used in the field of technology.
You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring proper documentation of the test results. The work model for the role is : onsite (#Li-Onsite) This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division in the Hackettstown, NJ area.
You will be mainly accountable for : -Setting up and using manual lathes and milling machines, surface grinders, saws, and drill press, as well as troubleshooting, evaluating, and making repair recommendations for rubber molds.
- Reviewing work order, blueprints, specifications, and tooling requirements in preparation for making new molds or performing repairs on existing molds.
- Verifying in accordance with specifications and blueprints all dimensions, clearances, and tolerances utilizing all types of gauges and precision measuring instruments.
- Setting up, programming, and operating CNC-controlled lathes and milling machines used for mold / part fabrication. Our team dynamics You will join a talented team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the role
- High school diploma or equivalency and 2 years of work experience in machine shop environment
- Knowledgeable in the fabrication, processes, and operation of machine shop equipment
- CNC Lathe / Milling experience
- Welding experience is a plus
- Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the United States.
