Your role and responsibilities
In this role as Supplier Quality and QMS (Quality Management System) Specialist, you will be responsible for sustaining and improving the quality of products being delivered by our suppliers. As well as, maintaining and optimizing the Quality Management System utilizing the Quality Wins framework. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal, customer, and industry requirements within a cost-effective and safe working environment. The work model for the role is: ONSITE You will be mainly accountable for: • Coordinate and drive supplier and part qualifications; Track and monitor scorecards of supplier performances; Assign Corrective and Preventative Actions to improve supplier performances; Coordinates process improvements, non-conforming material dispositions, corrective actions, and surveillance auditing with suppliers. • Facilitate the Quality Wins program for ELSP site (including team trainings, process changes, and system implementations.); Maintain and manage QMS documentation repository; Develop and maintain Quality Management System documents such as manufacturing methods, technical documentation, and training documentation. • Understand and be accountable for manufacturing metrics that pertain to the group (HSE, Quality, Service and Costout.); Drive efforts to support and meet production schedules, including productivity, quality and lean manufacturing initiatives. • Take responsibility for continuous improvement of production operations including safety, scheduling, quality, lean and training/development in assigned areas; Support and maintain quality records in regards to supplier cases, customer cases, internal nonconformance reports, and internal audits. Qualifications for the role
- Associate degree in a technical or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college PLUS minimum 3 years quality control experience
- Proficiency in measurement tools (meters, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Demonstrate understanding of quality procedures and concepts
- Demonstrated lean manufacturing participation
- Demonstrated HSE participation and support.
- Must have the flexibility to rotate and flex to any area of production, as needed.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
