This position reports to
Production Engineering Specialist
Your role and responsibilities
Ensure various pieces of testing equipment are in proper working condition, including troubleshooting and maintaining equipment. Responsible for all aspects of production testing involving setup, operations, and technological advancements to improve overall efficiency. Maintain documentation related to testing, i.e. work instructions, S.O.P’s, and revision control. Assist engineers with production process improvements through testing. Assist with testing setup when required. Trains and certifies new testers as necessary. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations knowledge of existing materials commonly used in the testing process. Communicates respectfully with all team members.
Qualifications for the role
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Vocational education in some manufacturing discipline highly desirable
- Ability to speak and write in clear English communications
- Strong math skills
- 3-5 years testing or technical experience in a production environment
- Must be able to:
- Bend, twist & turn in a safe manner
- Lift up to 40 Pounds
- Stand for long periods
- Can work up to 20 hours of overtime to meet Business Objectives
- Can work a weekend schedule as needed
- Previous experience in physically demanding work in factory environment preferred
- Experience training or JIT certification preferred
