Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in developing independent living skills.
• Assist clients in daily activities including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive outcomes and enhance client engagement.
• Collect data on client progress and maintain accurate records for reporting purposes.
• Facilitate social interactions and community involvement to foster independence and social skills.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, educators, and healthcare providers to create comprehensive support plans.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is essential.
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong skills in behavior management are highly desirable.
• Background in childcare or social work is beneficial for understanding client needs.
• Ability to drive and transport clients as necessary for community outings or appointments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with clients and team members.
• Commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive environment that promotes client dignity and independence.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
