Duties:
- Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
- Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse issues
- Provide prevention-oriented therapy
- Collaborate with clinical staff to implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
- Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using medical terminology and adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Must be able to succeed in a coordinated, cross functional team environment and have accountability for results
- Support patients in crisis intervention situations
- Participate in staff meetings as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mental health, behavioral health, substance abuse, and/or as a school social worker preferred
- Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Required Experience: 2-3 years of related experience
- Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
- Familiarity with community mental health resources
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients through strong interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of ethical principles and practices
- Ability to provide support for clients who have grief and those that need support
- Strong leadership qualities
- Reliable transportation
