Job Summary
-
Responsible for performing scheduling, pre-certification, benefit verification and pre-registration. Required fast response to customer needs, independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of computers and other equipment. Works with staff and understands appropriate scheduling processes and how processes affect ancillary departments. Assist office staff with processing referrals and scheduling in a timely manner. Assist clients in pre-registration, benefit verification, pre-certification, scheduling and/or rescheduling appointments. Serves as back up for front office staff. Performs all other duties as assigned by Director of Rehabilitation Services.

Minimum Education Requirement

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum Experience Requirement
-
Three years experience working in a hospital related field preferred. Must understand insurance guidelines that affect claims processing and case management, possess knowledge of all third party payer carriers including state and government regulations, possess knowledge of hospital billing and insurance filing. Must possess excellent verbal, written, communication, and math skills. Must have the ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision and work as a team player.
