Abbeville General Hospital is hiring for a Patient Access Greeter Position: Full time Patient Access Greeter for Patient Access Department
Position(s) Avaliable:
- Patient Access Greeter (6a-4p) - One (1) Avaliable
Patient Access Greeter Required Experience:
- Experience patient service personnel to greet patients and/or visitors that come into the hospital with a warm welcome, assisting patients and/or visitors to the departments within the hospital and keeping wheelchairs accessible to patients and/or visitors. Other duties will insist of verifying and documenting all insurance coverage, obtain pre-certifications, authorizations, answering any questions and explain policies clearly, verifying pre-authorization for exams, processing Point of Service collections and other miscellaneous duties.
Patient Access Greeter Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Patient Access Greeter Physical Requirements:
- Medium Work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor constitutes a maximum lift of 21-50 pounds on occasion and/or a maximum lift of 11-25 pounds on a frequent basis
- May be required to assist in the turning, lifting, or moving patients as well as walking about from patients’ rooms, as well as to and from various hospital areas
