Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Horticulturist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plant care, landscape maintenance, and groundskeeping. This role involves working closely with various plant species, ensuring their health and growth while maintaining aesthetically pleasing landscapes. The Horticulturist will play a vital role in developing and implementing horticultural practices that promote sustainability and enhance the beauty of our outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute irrigation schedules to ensure optimal water supply for plants.
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities, including planting, pruning, and fertilizing.
• Perform groundskeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and order in outdoor areas.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various horticultural tasks.
• Monitor plant health and identify any signs of disease or pest infestations.
• Assist in the growing of plants from seeds or cuttings, ensuring proper care throughout the process.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement landscaping projects.
• Provide guidance on lawn care techniques to promote healthy turf growth.
• Maintain accurate records of plant care activities and landscape projects.
• Aquatic plant selection and care preferred.

Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in horticulture, landscaping, or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and landscape maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of plant species, their growing conditions, and care requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for gardening and outdoor work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.

Pay: $41,552.20 - $50,041.36 per year
