We are seeking a full-time Director of Nursing, RN for The Abbington at St. George.
The Abbington is a senior living community with 98 Independent / Assisted Living apartments and 23 Memory Care apartments. Great work environment and great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of seniors.

Primary Summary :
We are looking for a dependable, intelligent, and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead and guide our healthcare team in an assisted living community. As the Director of Nursing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our residents wile creating a supportive, educational atmosphere for our team members. You will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations, collaborating with the leadership team, and enhancing growth of the community.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the clinical team, ensuring quality care and compliance with state regulations.
- Foster a caring, compassionate environment where residents receive the highest level of respect and support.
- Provide ongoing education and training for medication technicians, ensuring competency in medication administration and understanding of protocols.
- Assist in the growth and development of the community by working closely with leadership to identify needs, plan improvements, and implementation of new initiatives.
- Oversee the development of care plans and ensure they are tailored to the individual needs of each resident.
- Conduct regular assessments, audits, and quality improvement activities to ensure the delivery of exceptional care.
- Provide leadership in recruitment efforts and foster team morale.
Qualifications :
Current RN licensure with a valid state license.
At least 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in assisted living, long term care, and / or home health and hospice.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide our team.
Strong understanding of state regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to collaborate with team members.
Compassionate, caring, and patient-centered approach to nursing and resident care.
Experience in educating and training staff, particularly CNAs and Med Techs.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
