The primary purpose of this position is to plan, direct and control the overall housekeeping department of the facility physical plant.
This position must perform or oversee daily cleaning of the resident rooms, common areas, and will be responsible for ensuring the floors are stripped, waxed, and buffed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year experience in a housekeeping/floor care in either a long-term care facility or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Essential Functions:
- Consistent and regular attendance
- Plans, schedules, and supervises
- Implements and maintains maintenance logs on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis
- Maintains overall appearance of facility physical plant.
- Assures compliance with applicable governmental regulations including Federal, State and Local authorities and/or regulatory agencies.
- Identifies and corrects safety hazards
- Maintains accurate records of various regulatory inspections.
- Supervises housekeeping staff.
