Job Overview
The FDU Recruiter is responsible for developing new homes for the Recruiting and Training Prospective Foster Families In Westchester program. Recruiter is responsible for participating in recruitment events and meetings to recruit prospective families for teens, sibling groups and babies Westchester area. The recruiter will play a key role in the implementation of the marketing & recruiting Plan .

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implement implementation of the marketing & recruiting Plan
- Build and develop partnerships with local schools, businesses, hospitals, faith based organizations, and partner with other organizations to recruit foster parents
- Develop a pool of foster parent to host recruitment events in their communities.
- Responsible for making outreach to inquiry referrals, online referrals, etc.
- Responsible for processing and entering all inquiries
- Tracks and monitors all inquiries and applicants
- Responsible for conducting Orientation and co-leading MAPP training.
- Assist with processing the required paperwork for home certification process
- Responsible to attend conferences in reference to recruitment for prospective families
- Coordinate and work with other departments to create a culture around recruitment, retention and support for foster parents.
- Weekend and evening hours are required. Travel to Westchester site will be required.
- Other related duties as assigned.
About You
You are the ideal candidate if you are passionate about the social services field and empowering underserved communities. Being compassionate, organized, self-motivated, driven, flexible and responsive are critical attributes to be successful in this role.
- BA/BSW required with 2 years working in Child Welfare. MAPP certified
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Candidate must have knowledge of New York State DSS/ACS regulations. Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to work with community resources and foster/adoptive parents.
- Bilingual
- Valid driver’s license and car recommended
- Candidate must be willing to travel as the position entails commute within the County and City limits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
