We are seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Machinist to join our dynamic team in Wheeling, Illinois. Job Responsibilities- Set up and calibrate CNC machines according to production requirements.
- Interpret technical drawings & blueprints to program CNC machinery accurately.
- Perform initial test runs, analyze output, and adjust settings to meet quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with the production team to implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of machine setups, run times, and adjustments.
- Ensure safety & organization by following company protocols and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Train and mentor junior machinists and apprentices as needed.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Proven expertise in CNC setup and operation.
- 5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code) and CAD/CAM software.
- Experience with Tsugami CNC machines is a plus.
- Familiarity with Esprit software is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Problem-solving skills & attention to detail to ensure high-quality production.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- US Citizenship required.
- Understanding of quality control processes and ISO standards is a plus.
