The IT Systems Administrator II is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, which includes overseeing software and computer installations, upgrades, hotfixes, patches, routine automation, security maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing training and technical support to all users within the organization. This role supports approximately 50 internal staff and nine customers, each with numerous users.
The administrator will also monitor, configure, maintain, repair, upgrade, and support AWS EC2 instances, AWS Serverless Computing, AWS S3 Buckets, AWS EBS volumes, AWS EFS Storage, AWS Application ELB, and other AWS services as needed. Additionally, the IT Systems Administrator II will design, install, modify, and maintain Linux infrastructure, ensuring the timely resolution of server-side issues as they arise. They will proactively manage and develop the Linux infrastructure to ensure continuous 24/7/365 uptime and a system availability of 99.9%.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, including software and computer installations, upgrades, hotfixes and patches, routine automation, security maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and technical support for all users in the organization

Monitor system performance, configuration, maintenance, repair, upgrade and support the AWS EC2 Instances, AWS Serverless Computing, AWS S3 Buckets, AWS EBS Volumes, AWS EFS Storage, AWS Application ELB and other AWS Services as required
Design, install, modify, and support Linux infrastructure
Perform routine system maintenance and resolve server-side issues as they arise.
Create system backups according to industry standards.
Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24X7X365 uptime service and system availability of 99.9%.
Develop and deploy solutions to any issues that arise.
Develop new system and application plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
Develop, document and audit Information Security policies and procedures to ensure security compliance and protect systems from unauthorized use, user abuse and acts of nature.
Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years of database, network administration or system administration experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or degree related technical field OR Equivalent combination of technical training and hands-on work experience in systems administration.
