The Opportunity
The position of Account Representative is within our Informatics US Sales Team. This opportunity is currently available in our Charlottesville location, or remotely.
The AR will work closely with US Sales team partners, Business Development Representatives, Regional Sales Manager, Operations Team, Contracts & Pricing, and Finance departments as well as external parties such as vendor partners, customers, and prospective customers.
What you’ll work on :
- Product and Pricing Information : Deliver product and pricing information to partners and customers in a timely and efficient manner with accurate details.
- Customer Service : Follow through and follow up with customer requests to ensure exceptional service, demonstrating a high level of urgency and responsiveness.
- Database Management : Accurately maintain a database of customers and prospects to reflect account information and revenue forecasts using Salesforce.com (SFDC).
- Licensing and Contracting : Assist in coordinating licensing and contracting activities for sales.
- Account Research : Research account histories for accurate quoting.
- Contract Maximization : Maximize contract terms and profitability.
- Quality Assurance : Demonstrate commitment to adherence to quality processes and procedures. Understand and be aware of the quality consequences that may occur from improper job performance.
Be aware of potential device defects in areas of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing, and testing activities.
- Compliance : Carry out duties in compliance with established business policies.
- Professional Conduct : Exhibit professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
- Additional Duties : Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
- Training : Attend and complete internal and external sales training on an ongoing basis.
- Travel : Travel is expected 2-4 times a year (10%).
Education and Experience You’ll Bring :
Required
Associate degree Required in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service or sales.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience in price value contract negotiations preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail in administrative functions.
- Strong computer skills required including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as SFDC environment.
- Learning new technical information quickly and thoroughly in a rapidly changing environment.
- Thorough understanding of financial dynamics (pricing, profitability, contract management, opportunity costs as well as improved patient outcomes through financial savings).
