Responsibilities
- The position's main focus will be to work with the two current FP&A analysts at the Minnetonka site to support the Site Controller in the different functions below, it will differ depending on the needs.
- Operational business support – Provide day-to-day financial support to the site controller which could include but is not limited to; Reviewing and analyzing work order manufacturing variances, support analysis relating to the monetary spending overhead analysis and budget control; and support reporting needed for mid-month projection of the site financial results.
- Closing – Support the month-end close by analyzing in detail cost center transactions in SAP to evaluate if any accruals are needed. Support the team in preparing month-end reports in a timely matter.
- Reporting – Will defer depending on the needs, it could entail analyzing manufacturing performance reports on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, including manufacturing variance analyses and appropriate explanations of yields, scrap, rework and other factors; Report on the plant unit production by product family; Analysis of inventory balances, including exposure for slow-moving damaged and obsolete; Coordinate and/ or prepare special ad hoc information requests for local management.
- Budgets / Forecasting – Support the current FP&A analysts in the quarterly forecast for the Manufacturing site. This would entail to input data in our forecast system by cost center for spending and headcount. To verify accuracy vs previous forecast and explain variances.
- Compliance - Ensure compliance with all Abbott procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with SAP Cost Accounting system
- Minimum 5 years experience supporting a Manufacturing Site
- Accounting bachelor’s degree (preferred) Must have a demonstrated ability to solve problems with innovative solutions along with strong project management and organizational skills to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Able to manage numerous projects/conflicting priorities, and to be flexible when priorities change.
- Working knowledge of GCP, Clinical, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Flexibility in daily activities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite.
