The Opportunity
This is a remote position.
Qualified candidates must currently live in the St. Louis, MO area.
Travel up to 25%.
What You’ll Work On
Achieve customer loyalty and profitability through passion, partnership, and performance.
Provide installation, corrective, pre-emptive, and proactive maintenance.
Partner with sales, marketing, and other areas to meet customer needs while adhering to compliance guidelines.
Represent Abbott Diagnostic Division, support field personnel, and meet district goals.
Guide and mentor other Field Service Reps.
Resolve customer complaints on complex instruments.
Document complaint resolutions accurately and follow regulatory procedures.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Schedule and complete preventive maintenance and installations.
Work effectively within a diverse team, support on-call rotations, and manage time, territory, and inventory.
Handle unpredictable travel for support and training.
Own customer issues until resolved, work cross-functionally, and maintain customer satisfaction.
Demonstrate superior technical skills, proactive account management, and complete instrument training.
Support new product launches and manage projects.
Implement and maintain the quality system.
Provide superior customer service and resolve high-stress situations.
Support customers with installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Partner cross-functionally to resolve issues and exceed customer needs.
Achieve business metrics, including service sales and key performance indicators.
Utilize remote support tools to improve instrument uptime.
Continuously improve expertise through learning and certifications.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Bachelors / Engineering Degree in Bio Medical / Electrical / Mechanical or Medical Technology is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications :
Medical Technician is preferred.
Practical experience of interfacing with customers preferred.
Additional Skills :
Trouble shooting / problem solving; ability to succeed in team situations and excel independently; computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point; Internet; Remote Computing i.e VPN; remote troubleshooting etc.); effective communication skills and strongly demonstrated interpersonal skills.
Language : Basic English skills are preferred (written and oral). Proficiency in local language required.
