The Opportunity
This position works out of our San Juan location in the International Finance (IFO) Division. Our medical devices help more than 10,000 people have healthier hearts, improve quality of life for thousands of people living with chronic pain and movement disorders, and liberate more than 500,000 people with diabetes from routine finger sticks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex duties in general accounting such as analyzing accounts, preparing reports, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and performing the monthly financial close.
- Initiate bank transfers, and cash management.
- Evaluate integrity of affiliate business financials and maintains sound internal controls consistent with General Accepted Accounting Practices, Corporate Financial Procedures, and sound business practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting: Finance or Business Administration.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Ability to understand accounting cycle and perform various analyses required.
- Good communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient PC software, including experience in Word, spreadsheets and accounting applications.
- Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to comply with monthly closing deadlines.
- Professional attitude and high level of integrity.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Two (2) to Four (4) years of experience in accounting.
