**Overview**
As a Manager, TPM Process Engineering, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day engineering operations activities at a Third-Party Manufacturer (TPM) site. This is an onsite opportunity in Buffalo Grove, IL.
**Responsibilities**
- Represent ADC at a Libre PDU Third Party Manufacturer (TPM), managing the day-to-day engineering operations activities in a focused area to ensure continuous supply of PDU product
- Represent ADC at a Libre PDU Third Party Manufacturer (TPM), managing project activities to deliver process improvement activities in line with ADC capacity plans
- Working with TPMs to optimize process efficiencies and ensure scale-up of productions lines are adequately controlled
- Ensures that all Abbott Diabetes Care assets are appropriately controlled and utilized
- Focus on Lean Manufacturing in all aspects of transfer to production
- Drive improvements in all aspects of the Libre Manufacturing process to optimize cost and compliance
- Manages improvements projects to ensure they are appropriately controlled, executed, and approved in line with ADC requirements
- Work with TPM Operations Group, Global Supply team, and Demand Planning to support daily output requirements
- Develops and manages a communication strategy to provide regular updates to Senior ADC Management with respect to Project status, Output, and Yield
- Deliver equipment and part aspects of expansion program within Operations budgetary constraints, challenging spends and driving cost savings wherever possible
- Ensures that all aspects of the process are compliant with EHS regulations and Abbott engineering/technical standards
- Create, maintain, and monitor KPIs for the TPM Manufacturing site to ensure that process improvement activities are directed correctly
- Establish process for recording and scheduling of maintenance activities (PM, DM, Calibrations) on TPM equipment to provide consistency in maintenance records to support Compliance, Reporting, Investigation, and Continuous Improvement activities
- Establish Goals and ensure that best practice engineering standards are maintained across the organization
- Drive team focus to deliver world-class levels of machine availability and output
- Develop staff to become process SMEs in their focus areas of the operation, as well as provide opportunities for staff to expand into new areas of the operation
- Coach and Mentor team members on performance and development needs
- Review and agree engineering resource levels to ensure continuity of service
- Responsible for developing, maintaining, and promoting good working relationships within the group and other ADC Departments and TPM Manufacturing sites
- Responsible for ensuring that the quality system is effectively maintained (e.g., Training Records, closure of ER/CAPAs, DM PM activities)
- Responsible for partnering with the Reliability Engineering team to develop a comprehensive reliability strategy for their area of focus.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of design control and validation in a GMP environment
- Proven track record of managing and successfully delivering complex projects
- Able to demonstrate the ability to manage cross-functional relationships including external stakeholders
- Experience in the improvement and optimization of highly complex high-volume automation equipment
- Proven problem solver who can set clear strategy and prioritize
- Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels
