What You'll Work On

As the Material Control FLL for Tipp City's expansion line, you are responsible for managing projects within the Material Control area that include, but are not limited to, creating and updating applicable documentation, establishing or modifying area processes, and ensuring proper team member onboarding and training.

This position is dedicated to the expansion project team with no direct reports. At project completion, the responsibilities and direct reports associated with this position are subject to change.

Additional responsibilities include :

  • Ensure compliance with all HR, Quality, and Safety policies and procedures through regular engagement and performance feedback
  • Provide support to manufacturing lines, distribution center and division partners
  • Ensure that all inbound and outbound goods are received or shipped appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Model and promote a thorough understanding of what drives product costs, profitability, and cash flow within the Material Operation, while operating within fiscal constraints, material utilization and CIP goals
  • Partner with area Technical Trainer to ensure onboarding plans, training process and schedule are created and followed
  • Ensure team members are trained and understand job responsibilities and performance against established expectations
  • Track and monitor trending of KPI's, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to develop strategic and tactical goals, identify root cause when problems arise, and regularly communicate to ensure alignment
  • Participate in team and department projects and execute assigned actions
  • Create and / or update applicable Material Control documentation as part of line 3 integration
  • Lead CAPA and RCAs events for the line 3 Material Control area
  • You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

    Pay and Shift

    This is an onsite, salaried position working Monday through Friday from 6 : 30 am to 3 : 00 pm. This role may be require flexibility in hours which may include weekends.

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of relevant leadership experience
  • General knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Experience using project planning and execution tools
  • Strong Microsoft Office computer skills
  • Experience working with and implementing Continuous Improvement projects
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience with creating and / or updating training material and / or procedural documentation
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of manufacturing experience in a regulated industry
  • Knowledge of business and manufacturing principles, techniques and practices to give guidance to the Plant Material Control function
  • Knowledge and experience to handle projects and issues, and versed in methods to improve operational efficiencies
  • Greenfield / brownfield plant / line start up experience
  • CAPA / ABTRAQ experience

    The base pay for this position is

    60,000.00 - $120,000.00
