The Procurement Specialist leverages their experience to help implement best practices and support Source-to-Pay strategies across GPS. This role involves collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, as well as various Abbott Divisions, to resolve issues and deliver exceptional customer service.
Operate within established processes and procedures, while also contributing to the development of new approaches for continuous improvement.Proactively seek innovative ways to improve procurement processes, cycle times, and elevate customer service levels.Develop a solid understanding of One Procurement strategies, gaining knowledge and experience across multiple categories to positively impact the team.What Youll Work OnWork with our Supplier Enablement team to invite and qualify / disqualify suppliers inAriba.Support Source to Pay processtechnology design and enhancements related to supplier qualification / disqualification.Assist the GPS catalog lead and category teams in identifying, developing and implementing future catalog opportunities.Support the GPS Business Excellence team and category teams with established reporting on supplier additions / reductions, preferred supplier targets and spend, supplier catalog usage, and reporting related to supplier performance management.PROJECT CO-ORDINATION_Collaborate daily with our Supplier Enablement team to invite and qualify / disqualify suppliers in Ariba.Support the Source-to-Pay process with technology design and enhancements related to supplier qualification / disqualification.Assist the GPS catalog lead in discussions with category teams to identify, develop, and implementing future catalog opportunities.STAKEHOLDER SUPPORT_Help the GPS catalog lead work with suppliers to implement catalogs and troubleshoot issues.Meet regularly with category teams, divisional customers, and support functions to ensure high customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.Assist with change management, guiding the business to adopt change and embrace preferred suppliers and catalogs.REPORTING SUPPORT_Provide analytical and execution support via reporting to category teams for identifying, developing, and implementing :Supplier rationalization opportunitiesPreferred supplier targets and opportunitiesCatalog targets and opportunities.Supplier performance management activities such as supplier performance surveysPROCESS_IMPROVEMENT_Drive a defined supplier qualification / disqualification process flow globally as Ariba expands.Continuously explore creative solutions to enhance procurement processes, reduce cycle times, and boost customer service standards.Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline existing reporting processes.Required QualificationsBachelors Degree : Supply-Chain, Business, or Financial Degree2-4 years of Procurement experienceUnderstanding ofSource to Pay technologyand process like SAP Ariba or any other.Preferred Qualifications :Functional experience in Procurement or any other functions such as Finance, etc.Excellent people skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsProject Management skillsSelf-StarterProficient inAnalytics & reportingwith spreadsheet programs usingPower BI / MS Excel / Smartsheet / QlikView, etc.Strong communication skills (written and verbal)Strong interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skillsSource to Pay Technology Experience a plus.Apply NowParticipants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
