The Opportunity
This position works out of our Westford, MA location in the AVD division. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.
What You’ll Work On
- The Senior Procurement Specialist will identify, research, evaluate and suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
- The role will evaluate complex sales and promotional campaigns to secure reduced prices.
- Assess variety of supplier’s products to ensure they that they comply with specifications and meet the organization’s quality standards.
- Requires high degree of skills and independence in negotiation activities.
- Typically involved in large and / or more complex purchases and suppliers that have higher impact on the organization's products, processes and budget.
- May coach and provide instruction to lower-level staff.
