This position works out of our Westfield, IN location in the Structural Heart division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease. As the Senior Industrial Engineer, you’ll be responsible for working closely with the cross functional Value Stream teams, this position will design, develop, standardize, implement and support Systems intended to continuously improve both manufacturing system and overall business performance.

This position works out of our Westfield, IN location in the Structural Heart division. As the Senior Industrial Engineer, you’ll be responsible for working closely with the cross functional Value Stream teams, this position will design, develop, standardize, implement and support Systems intended to continuously improve both manufacturing system and overall business performance.
What You’ll Work On
- Provides input for identification and planning of department goals and budget, development, standardization and implementation of initiatives intended to improve the quality, cost and delivery performance of Division Operations.
- In conjunction with the Value Stream teams, develops implements and sustains productivity, quality, process efficiency, space utilization, standardization and lead time improvement efforts.
- Identifies opportunities and supports the incorporation of appropriate Lean tool usage such as 5S, time study, line balancing, standard work and material flow into the daily functions of the Value Stream teams.
- Collaborates with cross functional teams as required.
- Provides input into departmental budgeting processes as required.
- Understands work environment issues (i.e. OSHA regulations, etc.).
- Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering, related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 4 years of Operational Excellence, Lean Management / TPS / TPM Experience
- Desire and ability to coach, influence, train, develop, engage and leverage others
- Desire and ability to build systems to deliver long-term success.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.
- Supply Chain / Material Handling experience preferred.
- Startup / Greenfield experience preferred.
