The Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing key projects, and leveraging data analytics to enhance procurement processes.This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a proven track record in project management and process optimization. The Senior Procurement Specialist will enhance procurement operations through effective analytics and program management, ensuring the optimization of procurement processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. This role will work across multiple verticals and categories across all Abbott business units globally.What Youll Work On :PROJECT MANAGEMENTSupport implementation and management of technology (e.g. Source to Pay), category strategies and processesDevelop and maintain procurement analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive improvementsLead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within procurement and Abbott businesess in alignment with organizational goalsCommunicate and drive change globally as a change champion within the Business Excellence organization in alignment with organizational goals. Lead resolution on issues within Source to Pay technology improvements.PROCESS MANAGEMENT / IMPROVEMENTDevelop and present reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key metrics and insights.Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsSeek innovative ways to maintain and improve procurement processes, cycle times, total acquisition costs, and customer service levels.Conduct regular process reviews and audits to identify areas for improvementUtilize data analytics to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing procurement strategies and operations.Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.Conduct spend analysis, supplier performance evaluation, and market trend analysis to support decision-making.Support implemenation and management of procurement technologies such as e-procurement systems, supplier management software, and automation tools.Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in procurement and supply chain management.Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of technology solutionsSTAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENTCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of procurement processes.Seek and support business relationships with Category Managers and Business StakeholdersWork with cross functional teams for continuous improvement of the Source to Pay technology and trouble-shoot issuesMeet regularly with stakeholders and support functions to ensure good customer satisfaction and continuous improvementExhibit cultural awareness with foreign business entitiesAssist with change management, leading business to adopt change and embrace technology and supplier consolidationsCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and supply chain teams, to align procurement strategies with business objectives.Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics or a related field.
