THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Material Control Supervisor, you'll have the opportunity to lead, coach, and develop a team of Material Handlers to ensure production requirements are safely met.
You'll lead efforts required to deliver all productivity performance metrics and understanding the productivity drivers that impact positive financial performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage receiving of raw ingredients and packaging material, then supply these ingredients and materials to production lines and processing.
- Responsible for palletizing finished goods from the production lines
- Ensure compliance with all HR, Quality, and Safety policies and procedures through regular engagement and performance feedback
- Provide support to manufacturing lines, distribution center and division partners
- Ensure that all inbound and outbound goods are received or shipped appropriately and in a timely manner
- Model and promote a thorough understanding of what drives product costs, profitability, and cash flow within the Material Operation, while operating within fiscal constraints, material utilization and CIP goals
- Assure team members are trained and understand duties, responsibilities, and performance against established expectations
- Track and monitor trending of KPI's, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to develop strategic and tactical goals, identify root cause when problems arise, and regularly communicate to ensure alignment
- Participate in team and department projects and execute assigned actions
SHIFT
This is a 12-hour night shift (6p-6a), with rotating weeks. Example of schedule :
- Week A - On : Mon, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun Off : Tues, Wed
- Week B - On : Wed, Thurs Off : Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (4-5 years in operations)
- 2 years of relevant leadership experience
- General knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 or more years of manufacturing experience in a regulated industry
- 4 years of leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, etc.
