The Opportunity
This position works out of our Minnetonka, MN location in the Cardiac Rhythm Management division.
As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
We are seeking a high caliber Technician II - Repair and Maintenance who will perform preventative, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, safety checks, repairs, installations, and modifications on production equipment. Record all maintenance repair activity on production equipment and fixtures using CMMS.
This role is open for a Weekend Shift. Fri-Sun 5 : 00am-5 : 30pm
What You’ll Work On
Conduct daily tooling and equipment set ups as required.
- Complete changes or modifications to production equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on all controlled equipment.
Tear down, inspect and rebuild production equipment.
Recognize repair items that require outside service and arrange for repair.
Install custom accessories needed to ready equipment for production.
Requisition needed items for inventory, spare parts and emergency repairs.
Perform visual inspections of equipment and fixtures.
Support 5S.
Train technicians in new and revised maintenance procedures.
Diagnose PLC problems and take the appropriate corrective action to repair.
Complete CMMS work orders and preventive maintenance tasks on time per the established schedule.
Respond to production down issues in a timely manner and communicate status to stakeholders.
Issue parts to CMMS work orders and maintain an accurate inventory of critical spare parts.
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
High School Diploma / GED OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 4 years
Related work experience. Two year technical vocation al training and / or military experience.
Knowledge of PLC, servo and stepper controls, sensors, lasers and injection molding. Ability to coordinate efforts and direct other individuals to set up and maintain equipment. Experience working in a broader enterprise / cross-division business unit model preferred. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to leverage and / or engage others to accomplish projects. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. Ability to travel (less than 5%), including internationally. Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance. Regularly scheduled overtime is a requirement of this position.
