Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School seeks an experienced, collaborative, and energetic person to join the district for a position as a Full Time Instructional Assistant-Kindergarten. Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School (AKFCS) provides an education to 1426 students in grades kindergarten through twelve, comprising an Elementary, Middle and High School. Basic office equipment including but not limited to computers, copy machines, laminators, walkie talkies, and projectors. Work Environment :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee mostly works inside, but there are occasions where time is spent outside in various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate but can be noisy, depending upon the task at hand. Specific activities may generate dust and / or non toxic fumes.
Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear, as well as write, type, and use their hands and fingers. The employee is also required to stand for long periods of time, stoop, reach, and kneel. Walking up and down stairs,
across the building, and campus are required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision. Some light lifting and / or carrying may be required.
Compensation :
Full Time Exempt Salary Position in accordance with the established Instructional Assistant’s Salary Scale. This is a 40 hour per week 10 months a year non-exempt hourly position. AKFCS also provides a comprehensive benefits package which includes the following :
