Job Location: Anchor Fabrication MS Ashland - Ashland, MS
Salary Range: $15.00 Hourly
Description
- Responsible for inspecting, testing, and sorting machined, fabricated or assembled parts or products for defects, wear and deviations from specifications
- May use precision measuring instruments and complex testing equipment
- Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures
- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration
- Report inventory shortages and damaged materials
Qualifications
- Quality Control experience a plus
- Working knowledge of measurement instruments
- Mechanical aptitude desired
- Good arithmetic skills
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Must have innate attention to detail
- Must have an eye for good quality finish and desire to do quality work
Environment/Physical Requirements:
This position is carried out in a manufacturing shop environment and as such has the following physical work requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop
- Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors and chemicals
