Job Summary
Abby's Catering is a leader in in-flight and corporate catering, committed to innovation and excellence. As at the Company Controller, you will oversee accounting operations, produce financial reports, maintain accounting records, and implement controls to mitigate risk. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial results, maximizing efficiency and profitability, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Responsibilities : Financial Management
- Oversee financial reporting for various divisions, including Private Aviation, Food Service Management, Commercial Aviation, and Corporate Catering, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, reflecting our commitment to Accountability.
- Prepare weekly scorecards, month-end reports, budgets, and forecasts, supporting executive management in generating business plans, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts, demonstrating our Customer Driven approach.
- Prepare financial statements and forecasts, ensuring compliance with lender covenants and supporting company growth.
- Lead the accounting team with dynamic leadership, fostering an environment of trust and productivity, in line with our core value of Teamwork.
Internal Controls
Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements, upholding our value of Honesty.Maintain internal control safeguards for revenue, costs, budgets, and expenditures, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures, reflecting our core value of Accountability.Identify control weaknesses and implement cost control initiatives.Oversee AP process controls, billing quality, payroll, and general ledger transactions.Analysis
Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track material and labor costs by division, driving continuous improvement and demonstrating our Competitiveness.Analyze financial trends, define corrective measures, and initiate improvements.Collaborate with operations on financial analysis, CAPEX requests, budgets, and forecasts.Ensure accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting.Conduct analysis and review of P&L accounts, including cost analysis and evaluation.Provide financial reports in easily digestible formats.Review pricing proposals and assist the executive team in pricing decisions.Maintain effective analysis of profit and loss by customers, upholding our core value of Honesty.Support external and internal audits.Educate the operations team on financial systems and controls to maximize company profitability, embodying our core value of Customer Driven.Company Core Values :

Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Certifications : CPA or similar professional certification required.Experience : 6-10 years of finance and accounting experience, with 4 years in a senior role. Experience in F&B hospitality finance strongly preferred.3 years in F&B hospitality finance.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.Excellent analytical and organizational skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.Proven payroll experience.Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Process-minded with strong data analytical skills.Flexible and adaptable to changing needs.Team player with a sense of urgency.Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks, showcasing Teamwork.
