Required Responsibilities
Support all customer and regulatory audits, and liaise with customers and regulatory agencies as needed.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP) and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
Conduct monthly self-assessments on food safety elements and execute required food safety testing as outlined in the HACCP plan.
Manage Quality Engineering projects, including providing operational support.
Lead and monitor assigned improvement projects.
Audit the implementation of the quality system, ensuring effectiveness by verifying activities.
Oversee the corrective action system and ensure the accuracy and compliance of HACCP records as per corporate procedures.
Foster quality awareness among management and supervise the daily activities and tasks of sanitation porters (if applicable).
Collect and monitor quality documents (e.g., Chef Table, portion control, equipment handling, ramp-on time, and safety performance).
Manage continuous improvement projects related to quality and play a key role in developing a comprehensive quality management system.
Implement the quality system as outlined in the quality manual, champion quality improvement initiatives, and lead problem-solving efforts to ensure effective implementation.
Drive defect prevention strategies over detection, track key performance indicators, and perform daily patrols of production areas.
If necessary, maintain customer compliance resolution on defects, including alleged food safety issues, and ensure business processes support full compliance with customer and regulatory quality and food safety standards.
Continuously enhance plant procedures for monitoring and ensuring conformance to specifications for incoming raw materials and finished products.
Play an essential role in training and coaching quality requirements across all organizational levels.
Participate in and support company-sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standards (GQS), HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, and Employee Safety.
Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet operational requirements.
Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Food Safety is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 3 years of quality assurance experience, ideally within the food industry.
Strong business and customer service focus.
Proven understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA, USDA, and HACCP regulations.
Experience with Total Quality Management and Change Management methodologies.
Highly organized, systematic, and rigorous, with the flexibility to adapt to local constraints.
In-depth knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.

The FSQ Supervisor role is physically demanding, requiring regular standing, walking, talking, listening, and the use of hands to handle or feel objects. The role also requires lifting, pushing, and moving up to 50 pounds. The work environment consists of an open warehouse, including refrigerated areas, with temperatures ranging from very cold to very hot and noise levels varying from moderate to very loud.
