Job Summary
The Warehouse and Logistics Manager oversees warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, decanting, and distribution of goods. This role ensures compliance with all food safety, quality, and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations while maintaining inventory accuracy, effective material flow, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations Management :
- Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution of goods (dry, fresh, and frozen).
- Manage product rotation (FIFO) and expiration date control.
- Ensure proper replenishment of disposables, packaging, beverages, and PC items.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, adjusting pars as necessary to meet demand.
- Manage the decanting and thawing process following specific requirements.
- Coordinate material flow from the warehouse to designated areas, restricting unauthorized access.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality regulations, and CBP rules for CASR operations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and promote workplace safety.
- Alert management about necessary equipment repairs, replacements, or updates.
- Provide leadership, training, and accountability to warehouse team members.
- Foster a team-oriented work environment while maintaining the ability to work independently.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Collaborate with kitchens and the Purchasing Department to meet operational needs.
- Alert the Warehouse Manager of overstock, shortages, or urgent procurement needs.
- Provide ad hoc requisitions as needed for missing items.
- Ensure proper upkeep of office machines, tools, and transportation equipment.
- Maintain cold storage areas and ensure readiness for daily operations.
