What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time/Floater Teacher position at ABC Children's Center, LLC?
For nearly 30 years, ABC Children's Center has been serving the State College community. The Grays Woods center is located next to GW Elementary School, nestled among trees in a park like setting. We have a position open for an energetic and motivated individual that would be able to establish and maintain a safe and creative learning environment in a variety of our classrooms. Being part-time, you would get to work in several different classrooms with different ages. This position has flexible hours; afternoon hours are preferred.
Responsibilities include
- Working along side of a lead teacher
- Communicating daily with parents
- Maintaining a neat, organized classroom
- Providing a nurturing, caring environment for the children in your care
- Ability to work independently and within our team
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED (Degree preferred)
- At least two years of experience with children (in a childcare center preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents, both written and verbally
- Have, or be willing to get, required clearances
- Have, or be willing to get, a physical with TB test
