Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and flexible Floater Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Floater, you will work closely with various classrooms, assisting teachers with their lessons and providing valuable support to children ranging from 3 months to 5 years old. Your role will include stepping in to interact with students, offering breaks to teachers, and providing them with time to complete paperwork. This position is ideal for individuals who are adaptable, enjoy working with diverse age groups, and are passionate about early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities across a range of age groups (3 months to 5 years old).
- Step in and engage with children, providing supervision and interaction as needed.
- Offer breaks to teachers, allowing them time to step out and work on administrative tasks, lesson planning, and other responsibilities.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Monitor children’s progress and behaviors, providing feedback to classroom teachers as necessary.
- Assist with maintaining classroom order and ensuring a clean and organized learning environment.
- Help with daily routines such as snack time, naptime, and transitioning between activities.
- Provide support to children with special needs, if applicable.
- Be prepared to work in different classrooms throughout the day as needed, based on staffing requirements.
Schedule:
- Morning shift from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with potential for additional hours in the future depending on the needs of the school.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in early childhood education or working with young children is preferred.
- Patience, flexibility, and a strong ability to work well with children of various ages.
- Ability to follow directions, collaborate with team members, and adapt to different classroom environments.
- A genuine passion for nurturing children’s growth and development.
- Strong communication skills, both with children and adults.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
