What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant and Reception Coordinator position at ABC Medical?
ABC medical is looking for a Medical Assistant/ Receptionist to join a new Modern medicine practice. We believe that taking care of the patient should come first and strive to provide services not found in many small clinics to ensure our patients receive the best healthcare possible. This includes not just treating the symptoms present today but also evaluating the root causes of those symptoms using modern diagnostic tools to more accurately treat underlying conditions.
We are looking for an experienced Receptionist/MA to work Full time with occasional Saturdays. We have an immediate opening and are looking to move quickly to fill it.
The ideal candidate will be able to
- Collect patient copays and greet patients upon their arrival
- Answer phone calls and utilize an EMR system to track patient interactions
- Triage patients by checking vitals, performing blood draws and giving injections, etc.
- Observe patients, charting, reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.
- Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
- Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatment.
- Assist patients with check in/out, electronic access to their records, and help meet patients needs
- Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely matter and forwarding charts as appropriate on a daily basis.
- Ability to provide a respectful, friendly and inviting environment at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Experience Requirements and Preferences::
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferably in clinic setting
- Experience on the EMR ECW or Athena preferred.
