A peek behind the front door...
Children's Ages: Care will be for three children a newborn, 1 year old and 4 year old.
About the Children:
The family has two young children and a new baby arriving this summer, likely in June or July. Their four-year-old is an active, sporty child who thrives with movement—he loves soccer, playground time, and anything that keeps his body busy. He's generally easygoing, listens well to caregivers, and attends preschool in the mornings, which wraps up in May and resumes part-time in the fall. His younger sister is a spirited toddler on the verge of walking. She's strong-willed, curious, and loves stroller rides, the water table, and following her big brother's lead. Once the baby arrives, mom anticipates taking the lead on newborn care, with the nanny providing support for the older two. As the nanny becomes part of the family's rhythm, mom hopes to comfortably divide the day—for example, she might head to an activity with the four-year-old while the nanny stays back for nap time with the younger two.
About the Family:
Dad works full-time while mom is a stay-at-home mom.
Mom is an easygoing stay-at-home parent, and while the family isn't entirely sure what their routine will look like once the baby arrives, they envision a "divide and conquer" approach to the days ahead.
About the Pets:
One sweet older dog lives in the home.
Additional Notes:
The family truly values the support the nanny will help bring during this transitional time.
Key Responsibilities
A day in the life...
Standard Duties:
All standard nanny duties include cooking for the children, meal prep, children’s laundry, washing bottles, unloading and loading the dishwasher, and general pick-up.
Travel Requirements:
The ability to travel and work some evenings is highly desired but not required.
Desired Skills And Abilities
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…
2 years of experience with infants and toddlers.
Must have experience caring for 2 children at a time.
Must be easygoing and willing to work as a team with a stay-at-home mom.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a team player who genuinely enjoys caring for children at various developmental stages. They must be flexible, intuitive, and confident in a home where the day-to-day may shift—especially with a newborn joining the mix. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are essential, as they’ll be working closely with a stay-at-home mom to divide and conquer the daily routine. A positive attitude, gentle discipline style, and a proactive approach to jumping in where needed will go a long way in this household. Experience with infants and toddlers is a must, and a willingness to pitch in with light household tasks related to the children—like tidying up after meals or helping pack a diaper bag—will be deeply appreciated.
