Job Title: Warehouse Manager Status: Exempt
Summary:
We are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Warehouse Manager to join our team. As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch collaboration of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, the Warehouse Manager should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
Responsibilities:
Include the following, other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Lead the implementation and team training of the new Warehouse Management System (WMS) in coordination with the Operations Manager
- Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
- Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
- Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
- Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
- Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employee performance
- Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
- Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
- Serve as a working manager, stepping in to perform hands-on warehouse tasks (e.g., picking, inventory) as needed to support daily operations and team performance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager or a similar role
- Knowledge of logistics operations and warehouse procedures and documents
- Hands-on experience with WMS systems
- Effective communication skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
- In-depth understanding of industry and company best practices for the warehouse
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets, reports, and documentation
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
