Job Summary:
As an Autism Technician, you will play an essential role in providing one-on-one support to individuals with ASD, focusing on implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies to help them build essential life skills, improve communication, and promote social interaction. You will work closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to help our clients reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans created by our BCBAs, focusing on skills development, communication, behavior management, and social interaction
- Collect and record data on client progress, adjusting strategies as needed based on ongoing assessment
- Maintain open communication with clients' families to ensure consistency and progress at home and in the community
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including BCBAs, therapists, and support staff, to optimize client outcomes
- Attend regular team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in autism support
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations related to the provision of services for individuals with ASD
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required;
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field preferred
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required – we offer comprehensive training to ensure your success!
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
